It's extremely depressing to notice that you're much more tired than you used to be. I used to be able to stay up until 3 AM while partying with my friends! These days, I start yawning up a storm by 12:30. Of course, it could be worse. I could be one of those people who must be showered, lights off, and in bed by 9 PM. I don't want to structure my life like I am at a sleepaway summer camp or military school. I've got at least 10 years until that is my reality.
My favorite way to combat sleepiness is to drink copious amounts of Diet Coke. I've cut back recently because I've realized that if I drink too much Diet Coke, I crash and get tired all over again. Annoyingly, the best way to combat sleepiness is to sleep a lot and not to drink delicious brown beverages. Who would've thought?
