At what point are you a negligent pet parent when it comes to overfeeding? If my kitten cries at me at 4 in the morning, he must be hungry so it's only right to put a little more kibbles in his bowl. Sure, he only ate the center of the food bowl, leaving a crunchy kitty food ring around the outside, but if he's eating, he's happy and I'm happy. Then again, once you become the proud owner of a cat that weighs more than 20lbs, you're probably an overfeeder pawrent. Your irresistibly thicc gato has the squishiest belly, the softest fur, and he always purs when you pick him up, so what could be the problem here? It's not negligence to give your kitty everything they desire from the fridge… it's love.
