We're Just Monkeying Around: 19 Pics Of Our Animal Kingdom Cousins Having a Blast

Our ape cousins have to be some of the most expressive and emotive creatures on the planet (aside from us, we do drama better than anyone, cough cough jersey shore). Just one look at their faces and you can tell what is on their minds. Several studies have shown that Monkeys have a very wide range of emotions including but not limited to joy, happiness, empathy and even depression. They use tools, have social lives and are generally a very clever bunch. While we might have chosen to highlight a few of their less-composed moments in this list, these monkeys deserve our awe and respect, much like one's uncle after a good weekend night at the pub. He might not be able to walk straight but he is still your uncle.

Now that is what we call familial love. While we have never witnessed a family massage train before the idea certainly seems to be a good one. Might be worth keeping this one for the next family vacation, might even start a massage train with the monkeys.

This young lad is a Japanese Macaque. They famously like to spend time in hot springs surrounded by mounds of snow. Much like us hoomans these macaques use the hot springs to relieve tension. Would you share your hot tub with a monkey?
