Absolutely Hissterical Comments About Cats Who Are Reliably Amazing (Or Absolutely Terrible) Mouse Catchers

It is a well-known fact that cats are lazy. They spend most of their day sleeping, eating, and licking their own booties. And that's fine. It's hilarious, it's who they are, we love it. But! Cats being lazy does not mean, contrary to popular belief, that cats are useless pets. It's true that - for the most part - cats are lazy, but when you need them, cats can be purrfect purrfessionals.

Cats can be used as wonderful fluffy pillows (who will bite you if you lie on them too long, but still). Cats can be used as shields from bugs. Cats can be used as a mildly dangerous ornament to make your house more beautiful. Cats can and will purposefully annoy you (which, yes, is a good thing, because it's entertaining and we need it). And cats can be very good mouse catchers. Sometimes. Sometimes, they suck at all of it. But we still love them though.

And then people say that casts are not friendly! Ugh, people don't understand! Cats are super friendly ! Because, most of the time, they are too lazy to have arguments or fights - with anyone. The laziness overtakes the unfriendliness. Look, they even cuddle mice sometimes, smh.

To be honest, our cats are so lazy that any story of them being good mouse catchers shocks us. Your cats move when something runs past them?! They don't just lie there, lazily looking at you with a put-upon expression on their faces all day long?!
