Picture it: a beautiful savanna, full of lush grass and happy lions. Everything is just purrfect, until the cubs start to get restless. They start nipping at their parents' tails, pouncing on their manes, and generally being sassy little cubs. The parents try to ignore them at first, but the cubs are persistent. They want attention, and they want it meow! Good thing they're so cute, or else they might end up on the bad end of a swat from a big paw!
In the end, the lion parents just have to grin and bear it. It's what kids do, we did it when we were that young, and for sure our children will do it to us. They're just playing, and they're darn cute while they're doing it. After all, that's what being a parent is all about - putting up with your kids, no matter how much they annoy you.
Fun fact - we learned that adult lions will fake being injured from their cubs' bites to teach them to hunt. It's a bit vicious if you think about it, but a lion's gotta eat!
We imagine the lion is saying something, in the worst acting voice ever, like "Ah, help me, ow, it hurts to badly. Please stop, no more. Noooooooooooooo Simbaaaaaaaaaaaaaa." Or maybe it actually hurts, kitten teeth are sharp!
