Just because the journey's over doesn't mean it has to end. Every ending is a new beginning and offers a chance for reflection on the experiences and lessons learned along the way.
Of course, when you're quitting a dead-end job that you've been stuck in for the last ten years… you might not find all that much to reflect on. And the things you've experienced? They're probably best forgotten... What with the unnecessary meetings, micromanaged lunch breaks, egotistical leaders, and general toxic atmosphere—you're too busy counting your lucky starts that you finally got away.
Well, that's the vibe that this resignation letter oozes. An image of the letter went viral this week after it was shared to a popular Reddit workplace subreddit.
"A friend of mine posted this, one of his favorite coworkers resigned, this was his resignation letter," the title of the image reads, providing some context to its origin. The letter itself appears to be a template for a resignation letter, humorously printed out as-is and edited by hand to convey a "can't be assed" attitude.
Reception from readers has been great, with commenters sharing their enjoyment and enthusiasm for the worker's approach and sharing stories of their own.
