They say old dogs can't learn any new tricks, but their best trick, one that they've had on dial since puppy-hood, is their ability to steal our hearts with just a glance. No matter a dog's age, their gooberish grin and waggling tail are like kryptonite to dog lovers everywhere. When you watch a dog grow up, as a puppy, they change a lot, becoming larger, more proportional, and more vibrant. As they age, their changes are more subtle– they might get a powdered sugar snoot, or greyish hairs on their bodies, and they're globe-like eyes get a little foggy, but they are still you're trusty ol' pooch.
One photographer, Amanda Jones, recently embarked on a mission to photograph doggos in both their youth and their old age, to document the changes that happen to our favorite canine's faces over time. After 10 years, Amanda has released the incredible and heartwarming collection of doggo portraits from her series titled, "Dog Years". If you've ever had an old dog in your life, perhaps your childhood pooch, grab the tissues because these handsome old pups will send you over the edge.
