This weekend at the 95th Academy Awards, a robbery took place. Angela Bassett did not win Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. She is the first actor to be nominated for an Oscar for a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and she deserved it! She should've become the first actor to win an Oscar for an MCU role, but as we know, that did not happen. Instead, Jamie Lee Curtis won a legacy award. Whoopee.

It's wild that Black Panther movies are the only MCU movies that have won any Oscars, but it kind of makes sense. Those movies are so high quality and are easy to digest by people who haven't seen every movie in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. The production design, score, and costuming are out of this world, and I'm so happy that Ruth E Carter won her second Oscar on Sunday.
