This story is about a fellow advocate of the working class who was working at an automotive repair shop as a tech guy; unfortunately suffering from the shenanigans of his tyrannical boss, who would constantly yap at him and his fellow coworkers for a variety of unfair reasons. Eventually, OP realized that this was not the kind of environment he wanted to work in, so he gave in his two-week notice over the phone.
This proved to be a mistake, as his boss had a total meltdown, resulting in him being fired more or less on the spot. Livid, he talked to the other tech guys, who told him that they were being racially discriminated against. OP immediately filed a complaint with the department of labor, outlining everything. Within a few days, they launched an investigation. OP's former boss found out and called him, absolutely furious. Unbeknownst to him, OP recorded the entire conversation… and that was the beginning of the end.
In the meantime, OP had no job, so he filed for unemployment, which this boss attempted to fight by filing appeals with a judge (then failed to show up to court 3 times in a row). To say he dug his own grave would be an understatement. The DOL then sent OP a letter informing him that the investigation was closed; his boss was found guilty on multiple charges and was barred from operating a shop or any other business in the state for several years.
