Font - she wolfe of wall street @queend236 This woman on TikTok was talking about how corporate jobs have "hidden knowledge". Like what time does the day start? When can I go home? How long is lunch? Do I HAVE to attend this after work function? And no one says anything, they just expect you to know unspoken rules.

Font - she wolfe of wall street @queend236 "You don't ask what time the day starts???" No. I just totally got a job and asked zero questions about what time I should be there. Or... they told me a vague time ("before 9:30"), but people are showing up between 7:45 AM and 9:29:59 AM.

Font - Pastor Venmo Stacks @jromeGarrett Replying to @queend236 Unfortunately, I had to learn all this the hard way. Now I'm the 1st one to a zoom meeting always, and I'm the last 1 to leave I attend all functions. Now that I work from home I'm very happy that I don't have to deal with it anymore

Font - Morgan @digital_meadow Replying to @queend236 I call it corporate etiquette. They should make a class about this on LinkedIn or something. If they say hours are from 9-5 I think that means you should be working at that time not just logged in. I think if you WFH it's expected you'll eat at your desk.

Font - Vay Vay @its_vayyy Replying to @queend236 1 Event a month. 2 glasses of wine max at work events. Leave promptly by 8. Find out what time your boss gets in and be there before them, even if it's just 2 minutes. Say good morning to everyone. If you don't think they heard you, go to their desk and strike up a convo.

Font - All of us Villains @Porsche_did_it Replying to @queend236 It's Sucks, but here's some notes. You're expected to START working at 9 not arrive at 9. That's logged on, checked emails etc. because people will bother you at 9:01. People are out for lunch btwn 12-2 be back by 2. Some employees don't even take the hour. 1/2

Font - Anderson Craack @Agent_00Krey Replying to @queend236 First year at my job I was told the amount of billable hours I had to work. I did exactly what was expected of me in terms of the hours that they asked. Only to be told that I don't go above and beyond for the company when my one year review came

Font - Dia Da Don @shes_rADIAnt You can simply ask about most of these or literally read the room if you're in an office and focus on your company culture. And it's always recommended to go to corporate events if you want to network, but you can stay home, you just won't be as visible and look invested. she wolfe of wall street @quee... 2d This woman on TikTok was talking about how corporate jobs have "hidden knowledge". Font - lerato @tshepanglerato This is absolutely true. Most times this "hidden knowledge" determines your career trajectory. Unfortunately, negotiation skills, conflict resolution and emotional intelligence is not taught in the early stages of one's career. she wolfe of wall street @quee... 2d This woman on TikTok was talking about how corporate jobs have "hidden knowledge".
