The bump heard 'round the world.
Last night's Super Bowl was a tense one. The game itself was a hell of a lot more exciting than last year's, with the Kansas City Chiefs taking a last-minute win from the Philadelphia Eagles. But from where we were standing, it was Rihanna's tummy that got people talking more than anything.
The pop star's performance, which has received both praise and criticism (the latter most scathingly from none other than Ben Shapiro), and her swollen belly were the talk of Twitter. Some users were afraid to speculate because Rihanna just had a baby in May. Others were, well, less concerned about coming to body-related conclusions.
It wasn't until after the thirteen-minute halftime show that reps for Rihanna confirmed the star's pregnancy. This led to some funnier reactions, and a little less virtue-signaling from people who need to touch grass.
Whatever people think about the performance, we're just happy for Rihanna and her growing family. And that she played “S&M” of course.
