The Best Harry Potter Memes of the Week (April 4, 2023)

Well, it's official. A Harry Potter TV reboot is in the works at HBO. Apparently, each season is going to cover one book from the series. Like many Potterheads, I think this is a horrible idea. First of all, the last Harry Potter movie came out only 12 years ago. That is way too soon to do a full-blown reboot of the series. I also think it's a miracle that the Harry Potter movies were made as well as they were, and I doubt an HBO series is going to be able to strike gold twice with the same stories.

Fans have been begging for a Mauraders series for years, and it's frankly nuts that that's not what Warner Brothers is delivering. Sure, there have also been people who've wanted a TV show that includes every single detail of the books, but those people are fools! TV, movies, and novels are all different mediums, and trying to recapture the magic of the movies with an unnecessary TV show that tries to perfectly replicate the books is a disaster waiting to happen.
