When I was a kid, I thought it was silly when adults talked about the weather. I thought, "C'mon, guys! Do you not have anything better to talk about than the rain?" Now that I am an adult, I've fallen into the traps I once denounced.
I know this is a depressing take, but there are not a lot of things that differentiate one day from another in adult life. Well, there is for me because I have a vibrant and regularly scheduled social life, but for many adults, each day feels the same. The breeze in the air or the sun in the sky could be the one thing that makes a day mediocre or great. Now that I've experienced the drudgery of adult life, I will never begrudge someone commenting on the weather. If it's raining and you have an opinion on it, I tip my hat to you.
