The Best Animal Memes of the Week (April 7, 2023)

Despite their poor reputations, not all zoos are bad. Many zoos are rehabilitation centers for animals that would not fare well in the wild. I'm not here to defend the reputation of a company as heartless as Sea World, but I can't deny that your average zoo is not torturing animals for profit. 

When I was a kid, my sister and I encountered a bizarre sight at the San Fransisco Zoo. Allegedly, we went into the penguin exhibit and watched two penguins make love. I say "allegedly" because I don't remember this happening at all. According to my mom and dad, this totally happened, and we stood there and watched like it was nothing.  I was ten years old at the time, so I don't think I knew what they were doing. Clearly, it didn't traumatize me that much. If you've ever seen something inappropriate at your city's zoo, these animal memes might bring back some childhood memories.
