We've gotta hand it to nature, a lot of the time it really seems to know what it's doing. We wouldn't have come this far if it hadn't been able to change and adapt to everything the world had to throw at it, even if the whole climate change catastrophe might be threatening to change this.
Still, there are plenty of things created by the Earth that you wouldn't think we need to be messing with, such as the humble tree. For billions of years, they've done a great job taking CO2 out of the atmosphere and giving us shade, but according to certain scientists, they haven't been doing that job well enough. Liquid trees are a recent invention that basically look like a dirty aquarium, and the good people of Twitter have wasted no time in expressing how unimpressive they find them. We don't need to reinvent the wheel, surely.
