Cute Couple Teaches Their Dog a Fancy New Trick, But It's Actually a Wedding Proposal in Disguise (VIDEO)

Everyone who's been in a serious relationship has fleeting thoughts about marriage. After 6 years with a person (or maybe 6 months in some cases), it's easy to get swept up in the romance of a forever relationship with this person you truly love. Well, the same thought passes through people's heads when they bring home a sweet Australian shepherd puppy. This furrever best friend is the best decision you've ever made. Why not combine both?

One couple in London combined both their love for their dog and their impending nuptials in the most innovative and adorable way. The man, who had been planning on proposing for months, decided to make his proposal as original and true to their lives as possible. Since they had a 1 year old Australian Shepherd in their lives, it made sense to somehow include Lola. But how could he do it discretely? 

First, the man proposed teaching sweet Lola a trick that would force his girlfriend to look away from him. The idea was to have Lola hop onto his back and then leap onto her mom's back and while they were turned and distracted, he would muster the courage to ask the big Q. Being a smarty-pants Aussie, the man was confident that Lola would pick up the trick after a few training sessions and over the course of several months, he could use the doggie distraction to pop the question. 

So finally, after several months of training, Lola was an expert at her role in the cutest proposal ever. The man was confident that she would execute her distraction perfectly and he went on an afternoon stroll with his very unaware girlfriend. They tried the trick a few times and Lola was extremely excited, but quickly learned she wasn't the star of that particular day.

When their backs were turned, the man got down on one knee, right there in the grass. As the girlfriend turned and gasped with excitement, Lola jumped up at her heels in glee. Then, every dog mom out there right now had their heart melted.

And Lola was proud of her accomplishment! It looks like this marriage is off to a good bark. Lola is also in the process of being trained to bring roses to the beloved fiancé, which is all a woman can ask for in any marriage– unconditional love from your doggie-daughter as well as your hubby to be.
