We're a dog person, we always have been. We can't resist stopping to pet dogs on the street, or if one is laying down next to the table we're sitting at, of course we're getting up to pet it. We thought we were a little bit of a "crazy dog person", until we read this story about Khemjira Klongsanun, an avid dog-person and marathoner.
She was running a marathon in Thailand when, in the first couple of miles, she spotted an abandoned puppy by the side of the road. Stray dogs are common in Thailand, but this little pupper had no family around and no collar. She did the thing every crazy dog person would do, which was pick up the dog and finish the remaining 19 miles of the marathon with the puppy in her arms. At the end of the race, the pupper was so tired that he took a nap with her, and she decided to adopt him. The story is amazing, but the comments on the news post are even better. Get ready for a good laugh when you read through them!

Is our love for dogs strong enough to make us carry a puppy 19 miles? Probably yes, but you wouldn't catch us running a marathon in the first place. The only marathon we participate in is a Harry Potter movie marathon.
Now there's an idea - if they started giving away puppies as prizes for marathons, maybe we would start to become interested in them! Although, we could just go to a shelter and adopt one. Work smarter, not harder.
