AITA: 'Don't worry, the marriage won't last anyway' : Couple Plan a Lavish Wedding at the Expense of Family Heirloom

A wedding is supposed to be the happiest day of any couples life. The dream dress, the perfect groom, and all their nearest and dearest family and friends filling up the room with love.

However, sometimes the truth of it is, weddings are a total headache that can often turn into a nightmare due to financial issues. Take this future husband for example who took to reddit after agreeing with his soon to be wife that they need to sell the family heirloom he recently inherited from his deceased father to pay for their lavish wedding. By doing this, this couple face the grooms family not attending as they as devastated and feel that the couple are behaving like spoiled brats.

Redditors were quick to point out that they could understand selling such a thing for emergency medical needs but not at the cost of having no family there. They also were quick to add that the couples need a priority check as if they can't afford to pay for the wedding without the heirloom, why are they having such a lavish wedding?
