People who own cats will be the first to tell you that as adorable as they are, felines are pretty much cute little tyrants. They are a menace to the household, and rule it with a mix of guilt and lowkey fear (those claws are quite something). But besides destroying our furniture, they also take care of gross bugs and a variety of other things that we don't want roaming our halls. Plus they are great cuddlers, and there is nothing better than when they let us pet their bellies for a split second once every half year. We feel honored.

They growl at 2 am, yowl throughout the day, and interrupt our Zoom calls, but they also sense when we're feeling down and climb under the covers with us, purring our troubles away.
