Dieting is almost always hard. But it's especially hard when your work involves being online 24/7. See, people are constantly sharing gorgeous photos of the food they eat. Sometimes the culinary masterpieces hail from a restaurant, and sometimes, from the home kitchens of people who fancy themselves chefs. It doesn't really matter where the photos of smash burgers and ramen bowls are from: they make my poor, empty stomach growl like a dog protecting its owner from a creeping intruder.
Besides shoveling protein-rich foods or celery sticks, my next-best ammo against my insatiable desire for caloric foods also happens to be the Internet. On Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, there are plenty of accounts that share food photos that would curb the appetite of anyone with eyes. We're talking pale, boiled meats, misguided munchies, health code violations, and even unnecessary food creations that would make Julia Child balk. These images are not for the faint of heart - or the faint of stomach - but they're definitely entertaining, and as a bonus, serve as an impressive appetite suppressant.
