Font - Several years, ago we moved across a few states so my partner could take care of his d' ing mother with stage 4 calicer. We pulled into our new driveway with the U-Haul so we could unload it and parked our cars on the street since there wasn't room in the drive with the big truck.

Font - The neighborhood was outside town, in a wooded area. The street was fairly narrow with no sidewalks and there was little to no room to park anywhere except your own driveway. Kind of a nightmare if you have guests coming over and definitely difficult if you were say, unloading a U-Haul.

Font - There was a very small turn-in (think, just a small bit of space for a compact car to pull in just out of the way of the street) in front of the house directly to the right of us and that's where I parked my car to unload. We unloaded all day and by that night we're exhausted and decided to finish in the morning.

Font - Next day, we went to take my car to get breakfast before we finished unloading and there was a note on the windshield. In big Sharpie was written "DO NOT PARK HERE!" Okay, dang. I mean if it were me, I'd have understood

Font - they were unloading a truck and given them a chance finish and then asked them politely not to do it if they parked there again but I'm a nice, understanding person and clearly not everyone is.

Font - These neighbors had a big long driveway that went up and around back of their house. They had parking on their property for probably half a dozen cars up there but they were being d :ks about this little spot overnight? Whatever. (It's relevant that in

Font - this neighborhood, since there was no sidewalks, the property lines went right up to the street so they were legally in the right to tell us not to park there.)

Font - We went to breakfast and when we got back, the neighbors had set up three sawhorses in the empty spot. After parking my car half a mile away and trudging back to my house, we finished unpacking the truck. At one point, the across-the-street-neighbor came 'round to chat and offer help. She

Font - was very very nice and it seems a bit of a gossip hound so I told her of our parking debacle. She got visibly annoyed and told me a few stories about how big of as holes the Parking Neighbor was. Let's just say they were not good people. She also told me literally no one ever parks in that space, they don't even use it. Je ks.

Font - As we finished up for the day, I started to formulate a plan. That afternoon, I put an add in the local Craigslist for free sawhorses with the pick-up address as my neighbor's house. They were gone by morning.

Font - I know it's not a big thing but I did find out later from Gossip Girl that Parking Neighbor was super pi ed someone had stolen their brand new sawhorses. Turns out Gossip Girl was right and these neighbors were indeed next level as holes as we learned for

Font - Edited to add: I've seen this pop up in the comments a couple of times so I wanted to make it more clear: I had no idea that was supposedly their property when I parked there. I found out the next day when Gossip Girl and I were taking. I said something along the lines of "I

Font - there was a retaining wall down at the street leaving only a few feet of dirt for pedestrians to walk and not be in traffic. Parking Neighbor's wall kind of sloped in toward my house which was set a bit back from

Font - park there if I had known I needed to. But I guess from what everyone is telling me about easements, it probably was fair game anyway which makes Parking Neighbor even more rude. And honestly, it

Font - wasn't about the parking, it was about their attitude. Just come ask me to move. Or write a nice note. Jeez.

Font - AngryLobby 10 hr. ago Some people seem to get very possessive about the parking space in front of their house that they don't even own (even though in your case they did).

Font - The other day, I parked my car on the street in front of the next door neighbours house as someone was coming to buy a large item from us on Marketplace and wanted to give them plenty of space to park in front of our house. The buyer didn't show up, so the

Font - next in line was coming to buy in the morning. I left my car where it was overnight. Now, the house next door is currently vacant, it's up for rent. There's literally no-one in there. I also have never parked my car in front of that house

Font - SnooBunnies7461 +2. 11 hr. ago This is epic. Personally I think you did the neighborhood a public service to get those sawhorses out of the roadway. They could have been a hazard.
