A long time ago, the ancient land of Meowbera was a thriving and beautiful place, where citizens laughed freely and joyously, all thanks to the benevolent gift of the cat gods, channeled by the mighty and honorable Meme Monks of old. Through much meditation and ancient techniques, these monks could channel the divine energy of the cat gods into works of art that inspired and brought much joy to the citizens, as well as bestowing great luck upon them.

In the case of Chicago vs. The Ankle Bite Bandit, an incredible precedent was set for future cat law proceedings when the cat in question argued that he was in fact incapable of guilt as a cat and therefore could not be found 'guilty' in a court of law, to which all involved decided against incarceration due to obvious lack of guilt and also incredible cuteness.
