A Day in the Life of a Retired Barn Cat Who Got Adopted by a Childfree Millennial

If you don't know the difference between a working barn cat and a domesticated pet cat, then let us help you. A barn cat usually lives in the barn it works at and its job is to keep the barn pest free. So they are usually great hunters of mice, rats, and other vermin. They get to roam the farm freely and thus can usually hold their own around much larger animals like cows and horses. A domesticated pet cat is usually kept indoors, has a very specific place it is allowed to go for the bathroom, they tend to get completely spoiled by their owners, and will demand a water bowl that circulates water or else they will choose dehydration… Both are extremely adorable, lovable, and necessary in someones life.

But if you meet a barn cat and a domesticated pet cat, you can pretty quickly tell them apart by their different personalities. A barn cat is mr. tough and independent guy and a pet cat needs treats and scratchies right away.

So when this barn cat, who goes by Bo, got adopted by a childfree millennial who immediately started to rightfully spoil him, it was hilarious to watch him transition from barn cat to domesticated cat very quickly.
