That security guard must have been a tight end or something back in the day

Baseball fans everywhere just celebrated one of their favorite days of the year: Opening game day. While those of us who don't partake in obsessive sportsball fellowship were blissfully unaware of the games going off in every city, baseball fans eagerly gathered at stadiums around the country to watch their teams kick off the new season. For some, this epic date marks a huge day on the calendar and one Dodgers fan wanted to make opening day extra extra special– with a marriage proposal.
Fueled by the hyped fanfare of the Dodgers vs. Diamondback game on Thursday night, a lovestruck man leapt onto the grass, hoping to surprise and impress his baseball loving girlfriend with more than just the big game. The romantic crowd cheered and hollered excitedly, and then everything went horribly wrong. Just as he was crouched on one knee and reaching into his pocket, he got blindsided by a full speed tackle, taken straight to the ground by a security guard who seemed to be an ex-football player with a violent vendetta against rule breakers.
Strangely enough, even as the fan's baseball hat is getting blasted off of his head, the crowd remains completely shook. As the man got completely laid out, apparently some fans even thought he deserved it. But did he really deserve potential brain damage just because he wanted to propose to his girlfriend during the pre-game warm ups? Obviously it's against the rules to go on the field, but dang Mr. Security Guard Guy… that seemed a bit extreme.
Even some of the players shook their head in confusion and disgust at the nature of the attack. I mean, the man was literally already on his knees, ya'll didn't need to smoke him like that. Plus, it looks like he dropped the ring into the grass and was not allowed to retrieve it before getting whisked away. After being escorted off the field in handcuffs, we do have a happy ending to the story though.
As it turns out, regardless of the potential head injuries to her future fiance, the man's girlfriend said YES and they are left with the most epic (and outrageous) marriage proposals ever. And a good natured person found the ring and returned it to him just in time to ask his woman to marry him. Perfect timing.
