Funny Cats Getting Mildly Spooked By Literally Nothing At All: ICanHasCheezburger Edition

Cats are known for their stoicism, for their independence, for their fierceness, fearlessness, and curiosity. Not many things scare them. We have seen cats go up against bears, tigers, elephants, anything and everything that you can think of. They are unafraid and willing to satisfy their curiosity no matter how much they probably shouldn't. But on the other hand… cats are also absolutely dumb*sses sometimes, and said cats get spooked by the least spooky thing ever. 

Cats get spooked by completely innocuous things sometimes. A loud noise. An unexpected shadow. Anything. And while we have sympathy for them, we also think it's one of the funniest things in the world. So, we asked you guys: what is the funniest non-spooky thing that has spooked your cats?     "Everything. He has next to no sense of smell (frostbite damage) and only one eye (scratched out as a kitten before i rescued him) so he's incredibly easily startled. No peripheral vision, no depth preception, and almost no sense of smell. If it's quiet, it startles him. 100% of the time. Which is pitiful and sad in a way but he's a happy, healthy, spoiled boy now and it's actually somewhat hilarious when he gets startled because he's a pushing 30 pound (healthy!) maincoon mix...

    Giant behemoth of a cat jumping a foot in the air because he didn't hear his own toy roll up beside him? Pitiful. Adorable. Hilarious."
