01
The First Batsuit
This is the Batsuit that could have been, and boy, are we grateful for the one we got instead. Originally designed by Bob Kane before Bill Finger stepped in to give it a makeover, this "prototype" suit featured a red jumpsuit and small, rigid bat wings. To say it lacked the cool factor would be an understatement. Yet, we've included it on our list not for its style (or lack thereof), but as a reminder of Batman's humble beginnings. It's a nod to the evolutionary process that made Batman the symbol of fear and awe he is today. The suit quickly evolved into the iconic grey and black design, which set the stage for the menagerie of marvelous Batsuits to follow.

Electric Batsuit
In the "Knightfall" storyline, Jean-Paul Valley (Azrael) takes up Batman's mantle, designing a more aggressive, heavily armored Batsuit.
