Oh, the '90s! A time when flannel was the fabric of choice, grunge was the soundtrack of life, and some of us preferred to roam the woods at night, dressed as creatures of the night. Yes, I'm talking about LARPing. Or as we lovingly referred to it back in the day, RD&D - "Real D&D". It was a different time, a magical time, and one that my parents surprisingly were quite cool with.

God bless my mom and dad, for they were the real heroes in this tale. Picture it: Their child, decked out in full vampire regalia, preferring the moon's glow to the harsh fluorescent lights of civilization. Heading out to the woods for a night of Live Action Role Playing with friends (or rather, alone - vampires aren't known for their love of social gatherings, after all). Instead of pushing for more "normal" pursuits like basketball or debate club, they just nodded and sent me on my way. Shout out to you, parental units!
