'[My manager] didn't get done until midnight': Boss tries to micromanage a seasoned employee, then gets pwned when the boss's boss comes along

When you're good at your job, it sucks to have your clueless boss tell you what to do. Not only are they on a power trip of haughty, suit-clad dictatorship, but your arrogant boss couldn't do your job in a million years. Sometimes, when you're getting scolded at work by that kind of boss, all you need is a shred of revenge on their ignorance to feel better. Well, in this case, a seasoned grocery store employee experienced a satisfying 'i-told-you-so' moment when his boss get reamed by his boss's boss in the most epic way.

OP was doing good work on his part and stocking his section in the grocery store when his boss (strongly) suggested they do it his way and neglect the deli section in favor of stocking the fresh greens. Even though he knew it was a bad call, OP maliciously complied and left the deli to get picked over. By the end of his shift it was nearly empty and his boss seemed unaffected until… Later that evening, after OP and all other deli-stockers had left for the day, the boss's boss came into the store.
