There's nothing more violating than having your things taken from your own home, even if it's just on your front doorstep. For this reason, "porch pirates" are derided and often the topic of fearful conversation in neighborhood chats—and for a good reason. Those that betray the functions of society that operate on goodwill do nothing but bring the entire system down, making it worse for everyone.
This homeowner had had enough of her local porch pirate and set out a bait box as a trap to make them think twice about stealing other people's packages. The package wasn't anything valuable. Rather, it was weeks worth of used kitty litter with a stench so diabolical it was sure to teach the pirate a lesson they wouldn't soon forget.
They shared their story on Reddit's r/pettyrevenge sub, earning varied reactions from commenters who mostly applauded the move.
