Rescue Kitten's Fever Coat Changes From Silvery Gray to Midnight Black After Being Adopted, Lives A Happy And Cutie-Patootie Life With His New Owners
Meet Sosuke, the color-changing kitten! Sosuke was born with what's called a "fever coat", meaning that his mother either had a fever or was stressed during her pregnancy. He was born as a tiny, floofy, gray ball of fur, and we can honestly say that he's one of the cutest kittens we've ever seen. He's playful, floofy, and full of snuggles. Fun fact, his brothers and sisters had similar coats when they were born, too! This is caused by stress or illness causing the color pigments to be deposited incorrectly in the cat's fur while it's in the womb.
But after his adoption, as time went by, Sosuke's fur started to change color! He slowly transformed from a silvery, cute kitten to a midnight black cat (full of magic, obviously), with a small white patch on his chest. He also grew little whiskers that come out of his ears! Basically, he went from cute to still cute, but with different fur. We're all about Sosuke's color journey and we wish we had a color-changing cat of our own! Look at this little goblin! He looks like such a playful little goober with his "angry" face and little teefies out. Look out for those things though, they look as sharp as heck! It's almost enough cuteness for a cuteness overload.

Wow, what a dramatic color change! We've heard of animals getting gray hairs as they get older, but not the other way around. This kitty is truly incredible, and we hope he's as happy as a clam in his new forever home.
