Sigh, it's always trap. Even when the belly looks the most inviting and the kitty looks so very calm and ready for some pettin', it's always - always - a trap. You are lucky if you get to pet the belly for more than 5.6 seconds straight, and you should be thankful for those seconds.

We think our favorite moments are when the ears twitch in recognition. Yes, their eyes may be closed, but we can see the ears reacting to our voice. It's as if they want us to know that they are ignoring us. It's like: "we hear you, human, but we're pretending not to. Now, leave us to our beauty naps."
