Friendly reminder that our servers deserve better. This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/TalesFromYourServer subreddit, certainly proves this fact.
Let's start with the fact that there is no employee bathroom in this restaurant, so managers cannot be mad if and when severs need to use the public bathroom. Next, OP was already in a difficult position given that her water was shut off. She came to work to freshen up and change into her uniform before a double, when some customer's little kid crawled under the stall to look at OP. He may have been young, but he was about 10 or 11. In other words, he was certainly old enough to know better. He claimed that going into the women's bathroom was an accident, but what about the whole crawling underneath the stall move? That's not ok anywhere.
The worst part of this story is that the server got fired for what happened. If OP is able to apply some of the advice from folks in the comments section below, her managers will realize that firing her was a huge mistake.
