Poor service industry employees always get the most nutso Karen customers. Especially those who work in fast food. For some reason, since it is a minimum wage job and the one teachers always used to say "you don't want to end up working at McDonalds, do you?!", Karens feel the most entitled to release their toxic Karen energy on the people working there. It's such an underrated gig—fast food employees work hard, usually work annoying hours, and have to smell like fast food all day all while only getting paid minimum wage with, usually, no benefits. It's bonkers out there, y'all. So when an entitled customer comes in throwing Karen daggers all over the place, it feels extra not worth the hassle when working at a fast food place. Tbh, it's totally understandable if an employee loses it over a rude customer.
However, a fast food employee wrote on Reddit about how they kept their cool in the midst of a horrible Karen encounter. The customer was throwing a tantrum about a small order mess up. The employee was trying to kelp, but the Karen was just not budging. The Karen was being miserable and impossible. However, the employee kept her cool and eventually just stepped out to get help from the manager. When the Karen finally got her order and told her she had a "bad attitude," the employee calmly responded that it was not her attitude that was the problem, it was the customers. Mic drop, baby.
