Font - Vanessa Henderson The day I came home from the hospital after giving birth I lay down in my own bed when my previously extremely aloof tortoiseshell burrowed under the blankets, snuggled against my empty belly, and purred. Her purr shook the bed. It was a different resonance than I'd ever heard before. It was so soothing, and sweet of her. She immediately took to the baby, was never far off. We called her nanny-cat and our nurse. She had different meows for all of us, but her sweetest meo

Font - David Oswald If it hadn't been for MiuMiu- a stray choosing my house to give birth some 17 years ago, I would not have found my passion for cats, which led to me to a job working at a cat rescue! My cats have been that constant when times have been rough. Sadly MiuMiu passed a few years ago, and two of her children the following- all very much missed but one of her daughters is still with me, along with 3 other rescues!

Font - Atessa Jaleh We rescued my fluff, Dante, right before lockdown. He's so emotionally tuned into me. If I'm scared or anxious, he's right there sitting on me purring. My knees get cold n ache when I sleep, so he sleeps on them to keep me comfortable. I cannot imagine a better cat. I'm so grateful he came into our lives!

Font - Kathy Wienhold-Scheerer Our cat, Bubba was a huge help in 2 ways. We had one cat, Sadie, but she was really an anxious cat and spent a lot of time hiding. My husband had a lot of health problems and spent most of his time in bed and he got very lonely when I was at work. He found Bubba in an add in the Penny Saver, free to a good home. Due to family issues, they were unable to keep him. Bubba was awesome from day one. He stayed with my husband and really became his best friend. My husband

Font - Zade Kruse My cats have always been able to detect when I am more depressed than usual. And they come in, meow, snuggle, purr. I even had one cat who would climb up on the head of my chair and groom me when the depression had gotten particularly bad.

Font - Zineb Basma Safrany I always struggled with insomnia and tried every thing. Until I rescued a 400g kitten with ringworm all over her 7 yo. Her purring and kneading cured that from day one.

Font - Sandra Goodwin Over 4 decades, our 8 cats, mostly white, kept us sane through troubles and shared our delights. Most we had for at least 10 years, many adopted as adults, sometimes two or more at a time. They helped raise our son, and helped us grow together. Moses, Nelson, Hardy, Loki, Sheba, Fogg(dark Grey), Nic and Piaf, you built our lives.

Font - April Minner So one morning I had a bird fly into my house. As I paused to think "how am I going to get this bird out of my house" before I could even form a plan my cat got the bird and took it back outside. Also my yard is the only yard on my street without a mole problem

Font - Taruka Quauhtezcatl I have multiple sclerosis. My four cats know when I'm having a bad day, and usually at least two of them will snuggle up to me and purr. If I'm stuck in bed with backache one, Anna, will come and curl up on exactly the spot it's hurting and start purring, giving my back a lovely gentle massage. All four remind me that there are good things in life when depression strikes, and Harry keeps me fit chasing round tidying up the mess, usually balls of wool, that he leaves be
