Cat Moms Rejoice! Top Signs That Your Kitty Considers You Their Mother

Every cat mom on your social media feed is constantly bragging about how their fur baby is better than any hooman child. Of course, they're right, cats are better than screaming children, but what does the cat think? Are cats just sitting around being annoying with their hoomans about being babied all the time? Silly humans thinking a god-like feline could ever be inferior (or babyish) to them, with their clumsy primate fingers and bald complexions.

Well, according to one Cattok superstar, cats don't resent our motherly instinct at all. In fact, there are several signs that show that your cat actually considers you their biological mother too!

For starters, cat lovers everywhere already love this statement. Frankly, we don't need much more information to completely latch onto this idea because we want to believe it so badly. As we cradle our feisty feline in our arms, all we can think about is how we're clearly their mother, but it's nice to have that sentiment be reciprocated.

Following is one of the main signs. Most people can say that their kimten obsessively follows them in the house. Especially when it means they're getting insight on your 2am bathroom runs, wondering what in the world hoomans are doing up so late. Come along, little fella.

We already knew that we had a deep attachment to our cat, but it's certainly rewarding to know that they feel the same way about us sometimes. The other signs of motherhood-ish attachment from your cat are also pretty classic cat-isms.

If your cat sleeps near you or takes a snooze next to you, it means they trust you enough to look out for them while they're at their most vulnerable. Cats are predators in the wild, but they're also smol bois who could be eaten as prey.

Not only that, but cattos also make us their mothers when they chitter chatter with you. That's right. When your cat vocalizes and talks to you, it means you're one of their pack now. You're their big hooman mama.

Cats don't meow to other cats. It's a learned behavior that they've adapted to have only with humans. Cattos only talk to humans to attempt to communicate with us in a way we understand (aww).

There you have it folks, straight from the cat's mouth. We are their mothers and there's nothing your Aunt Carol can say about it. The next time your in laws are bragging about your second cousin's good grades, you can go ahead and brag about your baby too.
