The family could not believe their eyes and a beautiful reunion ensued.
Every now and then there is a video that comes along on the internet that is actually 1000% wholesome and warms your heart a little bit. The most recent one, this video of a family reuniting with their long lost dog.
It started with a public event by the NYC ACC at a park. They had their adoption both and truck set up and brought out all their dogs ready and eager to find their furever home. A dog that they named “Sandy” was found by the ASPCA tied up outside their building and then was brought to the ACC by the NYPD. The dog was immediately friendly and the handlers noted that she had the temperament of a happy family dog. She was not chipped and there were no leads, so they put her up for adoption.
They brought Sandy to this open event called Paws in the Park. The usually well-behaved dog started freaking out as a family started to approach. The handlers couldn't understand why, but it all quickly became clear. The mother of this family pointed out that this dog looked like their lost dog Mocha. They had left their dog with a friend while they went on a two-week vacation, but when they returned, they learned the dog had gone missing. They were heartbroken.
However, the father quickly started to realize that this dog didn't just look like their lost dog Mocha, she IS their long lost dog Mocha. The dog was the most excited around them and didn't hold back on showering them in kisses and love. When the whole family realized that this was their dog, the most happy reunion ensued. The family showed the ACC their proof of adoption of Mocha and photos of her when she was a pup and it was a sealed deal. But the real proof was how excited Mocha was when the family came near—she new before they even reach her, that they were there and she needed to get their attention. See the heartwarming even below!
