'Goats are the real GOAT': Wholesome Herd-for-Hire Munches Every Plant in Their Path, Making Their Cowboy Rich and Serving as Professional Goat Mowers

Animals that have jobs are the cutest thing in the world. Working dogs, like service pooches and K9 police usually steal the spotlight, but there are tons of other critters that can be on payroll. Cats catch mice in the warehouse, mules pull heavy logs, and goats eat everything in sight. *record scratch*

That's right, goats can be employed to do what they do best, devouring every living leaf they can grip their lips around, loving every second of it. One rancher and self-proclaimed cowboy recently has become TikTok famous for sharing what he and his herd-for-hire have been up to in the professional world. Goats are such effective demolishers of brush and bushy plants, that people literally will rent them for their leaf munching services.

Recently, one woman had a massive 1 acre yard full of huge, grown in tumble weeds– some even reaching shoulder height! The dense brush seemed impossible to remove, but she was determined to clear out her land to make room for her rescue pups. Fortunately for her, Cowboy Max lived in town and offered to rent out his herd of goats to help annihilate the shrubbery and they were surprisingly– and scarily– effective.

Cowboy Max employees 220 goats in his herd and even has a few token sheep sprinkled in the mix. With his demolition-derby of leaf-loving ungulates, it only took about 5 hours of free-roaming goat activity to wipe out this woman's tumbleweed problem. Like the locust of end times, these famished farm animals charged into the yard with an eagerness we've never seen before. They knew what they had to do and were excited to get the job done.

Jokingly, some people in the comments mentioned that Cowboy Max must be starving the herd between jobs in order to make them more efficient, but apparently goats are nearly insatiable. According to Max, it doesn't matter how much he feeds his herd, they're always hungry for more and ready to work. So the next time you have uncontrollable plants taking over your yard, give a call to your local goat rancher and see if they'll rent out their hoofed friends. Bear in mind that they don't discriminate on plant varieties, so if there's any garden you wish to preserve before wiping out yard to a clean safe, be sure to keep those away from those hungry, hungry goats.

Bring on the goats!
