Breakups are almost always awkward, and almost never amicable. There is always one person that likes the other person a little bit more, and it is usually not the person doing the breaking up. We all like to give the, 'it's not you, it's me' speech, or if you feel that's getting old, you can always go with, 'I'm just not looking for a relationship right now', both of which are probably lies.
