Here's the first review that rattled this owner:

Anvita Kotha Local Guide 97 reviews a month ago Dinner $100-200 We ordered the dan dan noodles and the dumplings in chili oil. Frankly, it wasn't spicy and not our cup of tea. I wouldn't say that it's bad food, but it also wasn't spicy despite getting extra chili oil and even adding salt. They use premium matcha powder for their latte and that was pretty great! It's a hole in the wall, but it's got some outside seating.

    The reply is quite unkind

TULUM (Owner) Edited 2 weeks ago I didnt know we had to have a requirement that our chilly oil needed to be spicy? Oh Anvita is coming lets cater to her because shes some google guide!!! Hurry make spicy chillly oil!!! Sorry how about have some respect that restaurants are allowed and should only cater to the owners needs not just the customers. The owners make the recipes to their tastes snd want to share their taste to the people. Thats the point of the restaurant owners make food they love an

The owner gets less and less legible the more they write

didn't wake up snd think of lets cater our dishes to these self entitled people...open your own restaurant.....We dont need to make the dishes spicy we wsnt to make them balanced. Snd if we make them spicy we get more reviews the dishes sre way to spicy. Whie sbout think before you review snd reslize no business is responsible to cater to Anvita. How about open your own restaurant snd will see

ehat your food taste like. And the reason we sell ceremonial matcha is because we want the have the best matcha when we drink at our restaurant so we want the customers to taste the best. Same with the chilly oil. So if we sell top matcha quality at our restaurant that should tell you what are standards are. So we will not be listening to you because we dont cater your tastes

Other people began chiming in in the comments with other unhinged reviews they'd seen from the same dude

TULUM (Owner) Edited 2 weeks ago Too bad you aren't actually honest. We have gluten free noodles. Why would i need to be more hospitable to some dishonest person. Someone else shared this response

TULUM (Owner) 8 months ago Awwww, another fake "Local Guide" loser acting like you run the show! Let's get one thing straight: the days of "the customer is always right" are OVER. We cook the food we love and we share that love to the people ALL OUR WONDERFUL CUSTOMERS. Clearly, that's not you. You rolled in here with your one-star agenda, at least admit it instead of pretending you're giving "constructive criticism."

Oh, the chairs are "too small"? Do you have any idea how real street food is served in China? clearly not... Tiny stools, tight tables...that's literally the entire point! . Then you call us "overpriced"? Please...I love when the fake complainers all say the chairs are too small and its overpriced...you all had the option to not order...BINGO!! OMG like the the food is over prices and those chairs are to small...but ill go and order anyways and complain...right...

And you want to whine about the owner's "r_de" responses? At least we say it to your face... or we would if you had the guts to come tell us your complaints in person instead of running off to Google Maps to finger vomit on yourself. You should open your own restaurant cater to every fake whiner like yourself and see how fast you go out of business.

    ... And another...

10:43 5G Smallest meal I've ever seen. The hand pulled noodles came with a single noodle, weighing apparently 100grams. The flavours were very good, but be warned the size is between 10-20% of typical. Food: 1/5 | Service: 3/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5

    Yet another!

6 TULUM (Owner) Edited a year ago First off We make hand made with the best flour from Korea not some cheap gmo flour another cry baby with a Google local badge. I love when the cry babies like to post reviews they can never back them up with a photo. Don't worry soon I'm going to launch an app that brings democracy back to business reviews to say bye bye to the cry babies BTW should Better research about Biang Biang noodle. In shanxi,

they sell three pieces of noodle, weight around 200gram. The classic Biang Biang noodle doesn't come with beef. And remind you the beef we put in the Biang Biang, in China they don't even put in. Because that's the most expensive beef kind. Slow cooked with more than 20 different kinds of Chinese plants ingredients from China. Classic braised beef and only use the beef muscle. One cow have only four beef leg muscle.

If you order Biang solo with extra 2 sets of Biang noodle. It only cost 180 peso for 300gram of the noodle. 300gram of the noodle will bring too much burden to your stomach to digest. But that will make you more than super full.

Not everyone cared about the sassy owner

plastic goose cart @nicxk_nyc Some of the best dumplings I've ever had were at a place near Chinatown NYC where an old lady yelled at me to place my order like she was some kind of drill sergeant. I bet the food at this place is good as f

Dinesh @Tikka_m0salah I would give a bad review just to get berated by the owner. :-)
