Californian woman in animal control gets called in to rescue 4 stray dogs but ends up finding 13, gets them all furever homes: ‘This is the reality…’

A woman who works in animal control in Fresno, California shares her POV of rescuing dogs. In this case, she was called in to rescue four adult dogs, but ended up finding two families of dogs and puppies, totaling to 13 dogs.

It's not an easy job when it comes to rescuing animals, especially when you live in a town that has a bad reputation of abandoning dogs and not getting them fixed. In the case of this woman who works in animal control, she is working tirelessly every single day to rescue as many dogs she can off of the streets of Fresno, CA. She shares many POV videos of her rescues, but when truly left her mouth ajar.

It started with a call to come rescue four adult stray dogs in an orchard. When she got there, she was able to instantly see at least three adults, however, one had a litter of puppies. All of these were Great Pyrenees dogs, who are usually bred for livestock protection. However, even with that protectiveness in their DNA, they still were happy to see here and happily approached her.

Only one dogs seemed iffy, but even he was still being a good boy. As she continued to walk around the orchard she found the final 4th adult dog. However, she was not alone. She had herself a litter of puppies too!

In total, she left rescuing 13 dogs that day.

These dogs and pups were lucky because they got adopted fairly quickly after rescuing, all 13 of them. That is not always the case, however. Many dogs can end up sitting in a shelter or months, even years. It's better to go to a foster, but those can also be rare to find. Or, like in the case of Fresno, there just are just too many dogs who need homes.
This woman post her story as a warning to everyone: Take care of your pets, get them fixed, be responsible. Being a dog parent is a lifelong commitment and you have to handle it was care. She says that even though she was surprised the number grew from 4 to 13, this was not a rare occasion. She's constantly getting called for a dog rescue and it turning into a whole family of them.
She obviously loves what she does and will not stop until she can rescue all of the dogs she can!
