Font - My SUV was throwing error codes, so we took it to the dealership to have them look at it. They informed us that the computer just needed a reset and everything was good. We didn't believe them, so when we went to pick it up my husband drove it around the parking lot and just as we suspected it was driving awful and now making a horrible noise.

Font - So we went back inside and told them they're wrong and to fix it properly. Several days later they called us back to say that they figured it out and it was definitely fixed now. Something to do with the transfer case, and a $2,000 bill later we're told it's fixed and we won't

Font - we only had to pay cost on the part that apparently what would actually fix it. It was something to do with a computer something that needs replacing after the transfer case goes. I can't say for certain if it was finally fixed or not because the day I picked it up I traded it in for a different make.

Font - Lisa85603 1 day ago Gotta love auto dealers. I had a Highlander Hybrid, if I didn't drive it for 3-4 days the starting battery would die. Took it to the dealer we bought it from they said there was no problem with the car or the battery. We played this

Font - tarhoop 18 hr. ago · edited 18 hr. ago The company I work for gets two new Ford units annually, and one with a potato for air conditioning every few years. We still had issues with one when we got our second potato. We didn't rotate our units very much last year because supply chain issues made it impossible to get two new ones...
  • 17
Font - Now, our newest potato was having issues blowing cold when it was only a couple of months old. It was fall, and the manager who deals with service said, "we'll leave it until we need AC." So I wrote it up again, pointing out it's probably better to fix it under warranty.
  • 18
Font - In it goes, shop says AC is fine. But we've also now got a known issue within warranty (you're welcome, boss!). That unit was new in 2019. The AC still doesn't work very well. During its first full summer - it barely got used.

Font - Manager said it's fine, shop said it's fine. I refused to work out of it for the safety of my patient and myself (I should probably mention I'm a Paramedic, and I can suffer half-a s AC but febrile patients, heat exhaustion and stroke patients cannot). It would get checked and work for them, and they'd call it good. It would cut out, and I'd park it.

Font - One day, it's in the shop, I'm rolling in the highest mileage unit we have, +30°C (86° F), sunny, humid day. That old clunker is blowing so cold, I have to turn the AC down. Manager calls, says the shop manager wants to talk to me since I write up the AC the most. I tell him to give my number.

Font - Shop manager tries to tell me I'm expecting too much, that AC should only blow a little cool, and if I'm expecting a refrigeration unit, I shouldn't be. I tell him that in 30+ years of driving the only AC that didn't blow cold was the potato he couldn't fix, I mentioned how my Dodge, the owner's Toyota, and even the Ford I was in at

Font - Anyways, I'm not allowed to speak to the Ford service department in any work capacity anymore. What does this have to do with anything? Not much other than to point out that while many readers recognized the brand of your issue, I find there's a general loss of capacity in

Font - diagnostics in automotive technicians If they can't see a part dangling, or the computer can clear the codes, they call it good. They don't chase down intermittent issues or give a sł it. If you can find one who does, see them for everything, and build a relationship. Recommend them to friends and family.
