It's 2023, if you're allowing your boss to treat you like they own you, you need to quit ASAP. We're not taking a toxic workplace anymore, no sir. We are all human, and your place of employment needs you just as much as you need them if not more! They wouldn't be a functioning business without its employees, so if they are not treating your right—sayonara!
Seriously guys, that toxic boomer mentality to go above your pay grade just to get degraded by your employer is coming to an end and we applaud it. One employee recently shared a story on Reddit that truly captures that new found essence of not giving AF about a toxic manager. This person was working in IT when he witnessed an employee get literally yelled at for no reason at all. Apparently this was a common occurrence with the upper management and this employee in particular was on his last leg. Even though the coworker that got yelled at was technically lower in the company than he was, he was still more than willing to stand by his side in solidarity. How did he do so? Well, he recognized what a valuable asset he was and decided to quit the very next day. The toxic manager tried to pretend like him quitting was "egotistical," but we all know who actually deserves that name. See the entire situation below.
