LinkedIn is a platform where one encounters a plethora of ill-advised and foolish posts crafted by individuals who seem to inhabit a different realm of reality than us ordinary folks. It's somewhat similar to Instagram, a place where insecure individuals flock to showcase their partially discontented lives, yearning for validation. Prepare yourself for captions like, "I am filled with immense honor as I announce my promotion after a mere 137 weeks. It's a significant milestone, especially considering my youthful age in this esteemed position. I am acutely aware of my privilege and profoundly grateful to my boss, who recently revealed that I rank among the top four hundred and two employees of the year..."
Oh yes, we are all acquainted with that person. Everyone knows that person. They inevitably attach an unrelated stock photo of a smiling face to inject some life into their post. Welcome to the realm of absurdity, my friends. If it wasn't evident before, let me make it clear—I simply cannot tolerate LinkedIn. Yes, it does facilitate expanding one's professional network, and undoubtedly, it proves useful for job hunting and career development, blah blah blah... but my goodness, the perpetual facade is utterly draining.
The platform is replete with imbeciles, and truth be told, that is precisely what makes it so amusing. For more, here is an employee who got his raise quashed by HR, so he quit, leaving the company to crumble.
