'I rocked the boat when I refused my promotion': Employee finds out their company status reads ‘terminated’ after turning down several promotions from corporate, employee confronts manager

Managers don't always have the courage to tell employees to their faces that they're fired, which only prolongs the inevitable process. This person was working at a 'community center', that ironically cost $150 a month, if that gives you any idea of the type of workplace this was. The person finished their shift and went to clock out per usual. Except… something was wrong. They noticed that they weren't able to clock out, so they opened up the app that the staff were required to have in order to punch out remotely. Same thing happened. Huh, strange, the person thought.

That's when they checked their profile, and guess what the status read? Employee terminated. Shocked, but somewhat not surprised, this person decided to confront their shift manager. The company was infamous for firing employees in completely unfair ways, so the person didn't exactly trust their manager when she told them that it was probably a glitch. The person also suspected that this might have something to do with the fact that they had refused several promotions from corporate, as these 'promotions' were a disguise for more work and same pay.
