Everyone has that friend in the group chat that has really annoying habits. You may have even tried to explain to this friend that what they're doing is frustrating to literally everyone in the group, but sometimes, the only way to truly get your point across well is to give your friend a taste of their own medicine. In this case, that meant sending important messages and then deleting them before she gets a chance to read them.
Now, to clarify, this group frequently uses Discord as their main means of communication, which essentially means that users can delete messages so that no one can access them again (unlike, say, iMessage or regular texting). After numerous attempts to get this friend to stop doing that (because it had caused a number of logistical issues for the group), this Redditor decided to show her just how annoying she has been by doing the exact same thing. What did that look like exactly? Well, it meant sending long, important messages, deleting them while she was halfway through reading them, and then asking why she hadn't responded. Look, we're sympathetic to the fact that people can get paranoid about who's reading their messages, but at the same time, you can't also expect your friends to read everything you send before you impulsively delete them. The world doesn't revolve around your timeline!
