30+ Hilarious Sci-Fi and Fantasy Memes to Fill Your Nerdy Needs (July 17, 2023)

There's a lot of grey area in terms of the sci-fi genre. Is "The Terminator" a sci-fi movie or a slasher horror film? I was faced with this argument the other day. I don't stand firmly on either side of the fence. Through and through, "The Terminator" is a sci-fi flick, but it's so much more than that. It's not quite a full-action film, but the elements are there where I'd forgive someone for making that classification. Based on James Cameron's original intentions, it is a horror sci-fi movie. You can't really pin it down, but it's got a bit of everything.

If you discount the sequels and how they build upon the universe, I would say that the horror genre kind of dominates the film. Think of the lighting, the desperation for survival, and the unstoppable force pursuing them. The first Terminator, is in fact, a bit of a horror movie. At the end of the day, "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" is better.
