Font - Vidya Researcher @VidyaResearcher Follow Replying to @stimhacked I don't even know if this is controversial, but the vast majority of single player games don't have the content or depth of experience to justify more than 15-20 hours. Most 60+hr games harm the experience because they ask the player to keep engaging after the fun is exhausted.

Font - Gavin Mackenzie @SuperMassive Gav Replying to @stimhacked Two game design rules that stuck with me: Follow a) Walking is not gameplay b) The player should get to make MEANINGFUL decisions It's become the norm for AAA games to break both rules. So much trekking from A to B. So many tacked-on features that you can just ignore.

Font - Karu (Lexi's K4) @Karunamon. 1d Replying to @stimhacked Another: "accessibility" when talking about design as opposed to mechanics (subtitles, color blindness correction, etc.) is a meme. Not every game needs to be for every player. To demand otherwise is extremely entitled.
