Skateboarding is an incredible hobby. It's impressive to watch, fun to do, and a great way to meet people. It's also the only hobby that actively embraces painful failures as a matter of fact in getting better at the pursuit. I've hurt myself more than I can remember in my years trying to skateboard. The only thing is, I was never very good and I never really improved. It's still been pretty fun though!

Skateboarding is one of those hobbies that's sort of just a lifestyle. If anything, skate culture is among the quintessential stereotyped lifestyles. We all generate a similar image when we imagine the typical skateboarder. There's nothing wrong with that! The skate community is incredible.
