Being a great parent is not an easy job. However, avoiding being an awful one should be simple enough. Sadly, a lot of people who become moms and dads don't seem to recognize this. There are certain topics that many of the procreating population can't help but be strange about, and one of these is gender. The whole world seems to have different problems with men, women, and everyone besides, but it's especially creepy when it gets applied to kids.
In terms of internet presence, one of the worst culprits has to be the 'boy mom'. As the label suggests, this is a woman who has one or more sons, but the definition doesn't stop there. To attain this label, she also has to have a weirdly obsessive, possessive relationship with her male children. Usually, this comes at the expense of other women and girls in his life (even if they happen to be his sister).
One such mom was recently called out on Twitter, after she posted a video dissing the hypothetical wife who her son could grow up to marry. It goes without saying that not all mothers of boys are boy moms, but the ones that are should really take a long, hard look at themselves. Why must we keep proving Freud right?
