Western movies are a staple of American culture. Even though the genre's popularity has waned over time, the performances of John Wayne, Gary Cooper, and Jimmy Stewart will forever define our concept of a cowboy. Although we still watch good westerns like Stagecoach and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, there are hundreds of bad cowboy movies that nobody ever watches. In the 30s, the Western was not a prestige genre at all, and studios made a bunch of bad Westerns with no stars and no budget. I know this because there are a million of them on Paramount+, and one time me and my friend put them on in the background while we were working. The most frustrating part of this haphazard viewing experience was that the cinematography was so bad, and the cowboy hats were so big that the top of these hats were cut off in the majority of the shots. If you want to watch a bunch of public-domain cowboy movies that nobody has watched in over 60 years, a Paramount+ subscription might be a worthy investment for you! If you don't want to waste your time and money with that, you might opt for these cowboy memes instead.
